SONETO AO EXPEDICIONÁRIO "SEU ZÉCA"

Um bravo na defesa do país
Viajou pelos campos lá de fora
Foi o seu destino que assim quis
Determinando o dia, data e hora

Conheceu o inferno aqui na terra
Um lugar onde quem mata não peca
Derrotou a própria morte na guerra
E voltou vitorioso o “Seu Zéca”

Hoje mesmo ausente desse cenário
Seu brilho e dos seus heróis companheiros
Nem mesmo o passar do tempo desfaz

Por fim, “Seu Zéca”, o expedicionário
Seguindo os passos de outros guerreiros
Foi descansar pelos campos da paz.

"José Antônio Ferreira Meirelles o saudoso "SEU ZÉCA", fez parte da FEB - Força Expedicionário Brasileira. Com ele eu tive o privilégio de fazer amizade e conviver por alguns anos de sua vida, na Vila Industrial-Bagé/RS, e o homenageio a cada dia 05 de maio, Dia do Expedicionário aqui no Brasil.
