PRECE À VIDA
Deixa-me continuar a viver, ó Vida!
Dá-me algum desse teu drenado espaço
imune aos podres daquilo que é devasso.
Não tolero mais sentir-me comprometida
entre aquilo que realmente defendo
e o que me impingem, mas que não entendo.
Continuarei fiel ao que é correcto.
Não amo o mundo tal como ele está,
cheio de ostentação, e de gente má.
Amo o homem bom, desprezo o abjecto.
Que os anos que hão-de vir sejam de mudança,
e cesse o desrespeito pela criança.
